Everyone in our wedding party has played a vital role in our lives. We love all of our friends and family but the below are the ones Christina will trust to help hold her together on the big day and they're also the ones that will take on some of the shots Carlos will veto at the reception. They each have been there through our ups and downs from youth up to adulthood and have supported our relationship from the beginning. We're both so lucky to have been friends with our wedding party for so long and we could not be more blessed than to have them all by our sides as we take our biggest step yet. 

The girls:

Suling Pong Kristan- graphic designer/aspiring actress and Maid of Honor.

• Relationship- Christina's BFF and "wife" (hear them talk to each other... you'll get it).
• How we met- Classmates in the 5th grade. Attached at the hip since the 7th.
• Fun fact- Does she look familiar? You may have seen Suling on a Coffeebean billboard or two.

Tu DeVera- dance studio manager, mommy to two adorable boys; Riley and Quinn.

• Relationship- Christina's close friend and comadre.
• How we met- Dance class and eventually danced in two companies together. Been dancing and shopping together since 2003. 
• Fun fact- Tu is featured in an aerobic dance-workout video! 

Allison Welsh- business officer at USC (insert obligatory, "Go Bruins!" here), professional beach bum on the weekends.

• Relationship- Christina's close friend and strawberry pie eating partner.
• How we met- Classmates in freshman speech class. Been talking sports and pool lounging since '96. 
• Fun fact- Al's basketball skills are pretty serious. So is her tan at the end of the summer.

Sheila Lezcano- fellow of Rheumatology at Loma Linda Hospital. She's a doctor... she ain't got time for nothin' else!

• Relationship- Christina's close friend and occasional therapist and doctor.
• How we met- Through mutual friends freshman year of high school. Sheila thought Christina was bratty... she was kinda right. 
• Fun fact- It's for almost certain, Sheila has been to Souplantation more times than anyone. 

Carla Forcadilla Ballesteros- physical therapist by day, dancing queen by night. 

• Relationship- Christina's close friend, fellow foodie/shopper, and occasional physical therapist.
• How we met- Through mutual friends in high school but got closer while dancing together.
• Fun fact- Carla can hold a plank for over 7 minutes barely breaking a sweat!

Sophia Grace Haddy- Flower girl.

• Relationship- Carlos' goddaughter and Christina's soon-to-be niece.
• Fun fact- Sophia enjoys playing softball, dancing, and making tamales with her abuela.

The guys:

Elvis Acosta- Classified.  If you knew, you’d be dead. He's also the Best Man.

• Relationship- Best buds since high school.  Worked at school bookstore and Out of the Closet together.
• How we met- Cathedral High School.
• Fun fact- Alias “V”, the muscle in our clique.  Aka human Yelp for donuts.

Richard Barragan- Math teacher

• Relationship- Ran cross-country and track in high school.  I let him beat me mostly.
• How we met- Cathedral High School.
• Fun fact- Last person I’d guess would have the patience to teach kids.  Also most likely to scare your kids into learning.

Stan Guerra- Rottweiler trainer or Sr QA Analyst, who remembers.

• Relationship- High school barber.  Inventor of the fade.
• How we met- Cathedral High School.
• Fun fact- Best impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger dancing techno.  Once drag raced his Super Sport against my Nissan Hatchback.  Winner: the cool kids that had better cars.

Manny Badillo- Petty theft or warehouse fulfillment manager, who remembers. 

• Relationship- The planner of the group. Organized a big chocolate chip cookie for all of us to share daily.
• How we met- Cathedral High School.
• Fun fact- Alias “Fitty”, and most likely to have a MJ in his playlist.

Steven Woo- User experience designer and creative professional.

• Relationship-  Christina's cousin and first friend.
• How we met- See above.
• Fun fact- Steven believes in ghosts and UFO's. He'll deny it if you ask him about it. 

Quinn DeVera- Ring Bearer.

• Relationship- Christina's god son and Tu's son.
• Fun fact- Quinn was born exactly 2 years and 1 day after his older brother Riley.

Choosing our siblings to be our compadres was a no-brainer. Who better to support us during our ceremony and in our marriage than our beloved brothers and sisters?
